A great course -- and if you are wide of the fairways you get a real test. Any golfer would enjoy the round.

Nice menu, comfortable and inviting dining room while looking onto the green. The bar is a little loud, but sitting outside minimize that noise. Very kid friendly, salads are great, and Sunday brunch is very good.

I never would've thought a public course could be so nice! It is beautiful and was in excellent condition. I cannot wait to go back.

Very pricey like everything else on the island, but if you are an avid golfer do not leave the island without playing a round there.

Public course, but the conditions were like a private one. Look out for all the sand trap! Restaurant was very good as well.

It is a nice links course, well maintained and of average difficulty. I took advantage of the golf school and its pro Philip Truno to improve upon my meagre skills!

My review is bias because for some reason the few times I have played this course I have always played well. One time my friend and I were paired up with another twosome and had a lovely 9 holes. Other time my son and I paired up with another group, good time again. My husband and I have gotten on other times and it's just the two of us. This is a golf course where the players happy to be. Earlier this summer I asked the golf shop to ship my clubs and they were wonderful. My home course is not normally this friendly and this is a club where we are members. I love playing this course in the afternoon the light is gorgeous. Restaurant worth going for lunch, you never know who you will meet. Stick to the basics. Golf shop is small but I always seem to find something to add to my wardrobe make sure to check out.

Awesome course that really challenges the avid golfer. As a golfer who shoots in the mid 80's, I found my first 9 holes in at 41, followed by 9 holes of lost balls and many double and triple bogeys. OUCH. Great outdoor seating at the bar after your round.

My son and my father were so excited to be playing together in America, as they've always played in Ireland but never across the Atlantic.The service at the club was 5 star. My Dad was delighted to have access to a golf buggy as he needed all his energies to keep up with his grandson.The course was immaculate. The fairways are really well maintained, the grass is perfect for hitting the ball...which seems to run faster here than in Ireland.They chose the twilight 4pm time which cost $55 each, otherwise it would have been more expensive.The entire cost was $200 to play 18 holes, including golf bags, clubs, balls, the golf buggy etc.Just google the website for all the details and lots of superbly accurate photographs.Food in the dinning room was delicious and it was an outstanding evening for two super golfers in glorious Miacomet.

Down home service, friendly starter and good large practice green. The range is nothing special but this is a simple operation with all the essentials!I was astounded by the quality of the putting surfaces! The first day I asked how the greens on the course compared, they told me they were the same....AND they were correct!Front 9 plays like a links course, open to the winds, long grasses and enjoyable. The back 9 is totally different, wooded along many of the holes and also enjoyable!Very walkable. Watch out for the hidden bunker short of the 2nd green. If you land there, your playing partners will have a hard time even seeing your head, its that DEEP!!Great time, if you love golf, make sure you play this one! IT will surprise you!

Just another club that has bit the dust - Why are all the members leaving? The food is horrible and service slow. Head to the beach on this island and save the golf for the mainland.

I have golfed Miacomet Golf course over the past 20 years, in fact it was the first regular course I ever played a round on. I remember the good old days when the fairways were hard as pavement and you got what we fondly called "the Miacomet roll". The transformation of the course in amazing! It is now an 18 hole course with beautifully maintained fairways and greens! I find the staff down to earth, friendly and helpful but if you treat them as if you are entitled you may find a different attitude. In that case, Sankaty may suit you better.
