If I were to give advice, it would to be to travel 20 minutes south to visit White Marsh Mall. This mall is pretty sad, not a lot of good stores and parking is always a mess. Getting out of the mall is a stressful experience with traffic.
The two anchor stores are Macy's and Sears. They used to have a very nice food court but they got rid of that years ago. Now there are several places to eat spread out all over the mall. There are many empty stores now but there are some little shops that are good. There is plenty of parking.
When I need to make a purchase but don't really want the overly crowded mall scene, I visit Harford Mall. They have some of the major stores, Macys, Sears, Victoria Secrets, Bath and Body Works, Old Navy, Payless, etc.. and have a really nice atmosphere.
Do not go to this mall thinking you will have a big mall experience. It is smaller then most malls that I know of. However, this mall is all about quality not quantity. A lot of nice shops without the fillers (Macy's, American Eagle, Victoria Secret, Game Stop, and many more). It does not have a food court but does have a nice selection if restaurants like Bone Fish, Q'Doba, 5 guys, etc... The inside is very clean and modern.
