dwayne's fresh jerky

It's a little bit like Little America in Wyoming. You are driving through some rather nondescript scenery and every few miles you see signs advertising "fresh jerky." What? Here in Arizona? Do they use rattlesnakes? So we needed a break and pulled off at the Bowie exit wondering what kind of place would be selling "fresh jerky" in this little place. What we found was a pleasant surprise. The price of Diesel was a bit high compared to Tucson, but as we walked in to pay, we found more than just five varieties of jerky. There were pistachios, pecans, dried fruits, clean restrooms and friendly people. Dwayne and his wife run the place and soon their jerky will be even fresher as they are installing new equipment to do their own processing on the site.It's worth a stop. We dropped over $150 here but we now have pleasant memories, not to mention great cashew coconut brittle, turkey jerky and more. Give it a try if you are driving down I-10 towards New Mexico.

By shear accident we found "Dwayne's Fresh Jerky. I suggest anyone traveling on business 10 find this little jewel and gather as much of Dwayne's delicious treats as they can. we were out of all the jerky and olives before we got back to Texas We tasted and Purchased an array of Olives, items I would have never purchased prior to tasting, but he has them all out for you to try! Smoked Almond stuffed olives were amazing Jerky - SO many to choose from!The whisky soaked jerky was so tasty.. It was gone first and we are ordering more on his web site.The kids loved the sweet and spicy... I have to put that on the list as well.bee pollen -.. Im new to this little hidden source of food, but i must say that after taking it I had more energy than I have had in a long time! and honey oh the HONEY!... so sweet and delicious we bought one of each and had broken the seals for a taste before we even got into Roswell...last but not least.. Pistachios... perfect for the road and perfectly roasted.I hope you get a chance to meet Dwayne.. he touched us with his kindness, for road weary travelers he is a breath of fresh air.I wish we could all financially support small town venders like this instead of the big business's, I think we would have a better America if we did.
