Great park to enjoy a walk with nature and to see the leaves change with the seasons. Did not dislike anything about this park.
Great playground, picnic areas, boating - the trails are a little hard to find but beautiful once you do.
If you are staying in this area and are a runner/hiker, there is a nice 4+ mile long trail in the park. It runs along the stream, and looks like it could be pretty muddy if it has rained recently, but otherwise it was in good shape. Going in the morning, I saw many deer staring back at me.
This is for runners/hikers/mountain bikers staying in the Gaithersburg area. There is a 3 mile trail in this park that starts at HWY 355 near the Germantown/Gaithersburg line. The trail goes more or less along the creek, coming out on Watkins Mill Rd. near Montgomery Village. I think it may go a bit further, but I didn't get there.... yet. Once you get into the trail for a bit, you won't hear the traffic, and you will see deer, squirrels, etc. Worth the effort to find it if you want to run or walk somewhere besides the sidewalks or a treadmill.I will say that it looks like it could be a bit muddy if it has been raining recently.
