Bobby McKey's is perfectly located right off the pier and walking distance to hotels like the Hampton Inn. The live music is what drew us in and kept us there for the night. The bartenders were excellent. I enjoyed seeing the piano players take requests and entertain the crowd. A very fun evening out.

Four of us went to Bobby McKey's. We had reservations as it gets pretty packed on a Friday night. The piano players are fabulous and really show everyone a great time. I wouldn't bring children there as they can get a bit risque with the language at times but nothing too raunchy that I witnessed. We had a fabulous time and would definitely go back when in the area again.

This place is a blast. Go with a group and you will not be disappointed. The beer towers and music are great. Piano players can play anything you request. From Rap to alternative to country to pop! It is a lot of fun! Saturdays seem to be more popular than Friday's. The more crowded this place is the more fun it will be.

Went for a birthday celebration. I had always wanted to go, but had never been before. So I had high expectations and they certainly were met! Fantastic musicians! We had a great time. A tip: put in your song requests early - - soon after you arrive.

We have been several times now and unlike most places that tend to start off nice and then go downhill this place seams to be more fun every time we go. The drinks are still really expensive but then again the place is packed so I can't blame them for that. The guys playing were tons of fun. I still am not a fan of their food but we just eat before and go there for drinks and the show. (We did pay for tickets at table down in front, which is completely worth the money). I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys music and is ok spending a little extra for a beer.

I had family come into town and decided to take them to Bobby McKeys; this was our first time and had high exceptions from what I had heard and read. Between the four of us, I was the only one to order a mix drink (others just had bottled beer), my Martini tasted like straight up water....absolutely HORRIBLE!!! Next, we order food, it took over an hour for us too get our food and then only half our table got our order, they don't know what happened to the other half of the order. Finally an hour and 20 mins. later the other half of our order comes out, the food was not impressive at all. Now, at the beginning of the show, you can request songs, but if you give the pianists a tip along with your song request, then they guarantee it will get played. NOT!!! We tipped $10 and requested 4 songs......not one of them got played!!! By midnight, many people were leaving as there were too many "love" songs/slow songs being played instead of upbeat/fun music as there should be. We ended up leaving at 1:00 and going across the street to Harrington's Irish Pub and listened to their band.....better music!

What a good time! Here's how it works: The pianists take requests, and if your request is accompanied by a few dollars, that's pretty much the guarantee that your request will be made. These guys played and sang everything from Beyonce to Pop Evil, Snoop Dogg to the Hakuna Matata song, and they were having a ball. If you love music, you'll love these shows. They throw in a drummer and guitarist now and then too.

Make a reservation, be on time, bring cash. We did all of that and had a great first experience. The show was lively, the servers were very observant, the crowd was upbeat. My only complaint was the weak drinks. We had a substantial tab for 3 people and we all thought the drinks were weak. Aside from that the experience was out if this world. Would I go back....yes BUT I know what to expect so I would probably not drink as much.

When we were at Bobby McKeys there was a 21st b-day celebration, some bachelor-ette parties and a grandma celebrating her 77th - meaning it was great fun for all of those age groups. It can get a little raunchy but the music and atmosphere is great fun and you will sing and dance. Definerely a great night out no matter your age. We ate next door at Cadillac Grille, outside, and had a very good dinner there. Recommend both and if you really have time, park your car in Olde Town Alexandria and take the water taxi over - just keep track of your time at Bobby McKeys, they go late and so will you.

How's that? Run, don't walk from this dump. Sticky bar, rude staff, ridiculously priced drinks. Go somewhere else.

This is a great place to come with your friends and hear some great music and drink. I would come here again with my friends.

Following a day spent in conference meetings, my colleagues and I decided to try something different from the Gaylord Hotel and go off site, so we headed to Bobby McKey's for something to eat and a couple of drinks. It was so much fun we ended up practically closing the place. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere, and most of all the piano players were GREAT! If you happen to be at Harbor Place, be sure to check out Bobby McKey's. In fact, if you live locally, make the trip! If you're coming in for a conference, ask the meeting planner to contact the event planner at Bobby's and arrange a special - memorable - event for your conference.
