I met a friend here with her four kids (ages 3-10) on a weekday afternoon. The kids were able to entertain themselves looking at the turtles and snakes on display and playing with a variety of toys in the kids room. We were lucky enough to see a fox come walking up to the building through the snow and during the feeding time for various indoor animals which was very exciting (how fun is it to watch a turtle eat a live worm?).There is no fee for visiting the nature center. They have picnic tables outside and bathrooms inside. During warmer months you can use the hiking trails.
