While trying to come up with plans for my upcoming wedding anniversary I remembered Chesapeake Bay Charters. What a perfect idea! Captains Josh and Carmel were able to get us on board for a sunset cruise into the Chesapeake Bay. They welcomed us right on time and we were on our way. After a leisurely transit out past Solomons Island we were soon in open water. Josh took the time to provide a crash course in sailing as Carmel expertly managed the helm. As my wife and I relaxed on the deck, our Captains took us out to see one of several lighthouses in the area. It was a relaxing and romantic trip with nothing but the sound of the waves on the hull. On the return trip, I was offered a chance to try my hand at the helm under very experienced direction. If you find yourself in Southern Maryland, a day on the water with Captains Josh and Carmel should be on your to-do list. I would recommend them highly to anyone looking to get out on the water for a very relaxing day.
