I have probably played this course at least 4 times over the previous 20 years. I just played it on Tuesday, July 29, 2014. I had forgotten how tough this course is. Quite a few demanding tee shots, as well as some approach shots. If you play on bent grass fairways and at an inland course, be prepared to use a little extra club because of the "heavy" salt air and Bermuda fairways. Some VERY scenic holes. Par 5 2nd ate me up, with a tough tee shot with water left and a very demanding approach shot over water. The 11th is a gorgeous little par 3 with a slightly elevated green over marshland all around it. Can be incredibly tough if the wind is whipping (I got lucky on this visit). And the very next hole is another par 3, with yet another forced carry over a marsh. Don't be short!! And the 13th is a tricky par 4 dogleg right, but just hit it straight and fairly long off tee. You can easily be blocked if your tee shot is near the corner. Beautiful hole again. One thing that I did not care for were the big number of severely elevated (and sometimes small, too) greens. The 2nd par 5 on the front 9 (the 7th?) has a green that sits a good 10 feet above the fairway and is also small.
