Ask about A day ticket, and get a timetable.. Great transport between Inner Harbor, Little Italy, Fells Point and Fort Mc Henry. This is a great opportunity to see most of the inner harbors points of interest without wearing yourself out AND you get some on the water time too.
Nice way to see the harbor and get from point A to B without the hassle of driving. The friendly boat staff will point out various landmarks along the way.
There is no place to park most of the places the water taxi goes -- so, for example, if you park in the inner harbor, stay there and take the taxi to Fells Point. There is virtually no place to park in Fells Point -- and you will have had a nice little ride across the Harbor.
While it seems this is a practical feature of the city transportation system, I rode just for fun. It gave me a chance to check out another area of the city and be on the water. The guys working the water taxi were friendly and helpful!
Took the taxi from Inner Harbor to Fell's Point. It was a nice way to tour the Harbor and save some walking.
If you want to visit Fells Point and Ft. McKinley from the Inner Harbor, take the water taxi, if weather permits. You will see beautiful sights and and on a gorgeous day, nothing beats it.
The kids love it. Out of town guests will enjoy. Gives you a great sense of Baltimore and the importance the harbor has to the city.
by far the best way to get around the harbor and they also give you really good coupons when you purchase all day water taxi tickets
The tickets are reasonable and it's a very direct (and traffic-free) way to get to various points around the harbor. It's terrific as an attraction on its own, as you get a great view of the harbor from a unique vantage point and the boat operators share trivia and facts about the buildings and landmarks. Very enjoyable.
Inexpensive and fun. The water taxis get one around the Inner Harbor swiftly and efficiently. A nice treat for the kids, a refreshing break from walking for the grownups.
This was a very convenient and comparatively inexpensive means with which to cross to various points on the bay. We stayed at the Admiral Fell Inn so, from Fells Point - just a short block from our hotel, we could visit the Omni Theatre, the museum, the mall and many other interesting places.
This particular visit we took the water taxi to and from the Inner Harbor, Fell's Point, Fort McHenry, the Canton Waterfront Park and Harbor East. We are very fit and enjoy walking, but for this particular itinerary, we needed to access the water taxi for get around and we were very pleased. The taxi admission price was very affordable and made the day very enjoyable.
We used this literally as a taxi to get from one side of the harbor to the other where we had Parked. The tickets were easy to obtain and the staff was really helpful in getting my stroller on to the boat. My 3 yr old son LOVED it and it was a really nice short trip. I would def do it again.
The wait time in between stops was about an hour that day. It was nice to see the bay from that view, but we spent most of our time in line.
we did a lot of site seeing and this was a nice way to travel. Seeing the harbor and Fort Mchenry this is the way to do it.
